Ever thought about making your own surfboard? Or perhaps already had a go at shaping a foam blank? You probably love a challenge. So why not step into the Driftwood workshop and make your own sustainable wooden board?
On our 5-day course, you’ll learn how to do precisely that – under the expert supervision of Driftwood’s shaper David Forsyth. We’ll provide the necessary tools and materials – all you need to bring is enthusiasm and an open mind. At the end of the 5 days, you’ll have a stunning wooden surfboard.
Sharing the knowledge
As a maker of sustainable surfboards, a big part of David’s mission is to spread the word about hollow wooden board construction. He’ll share with you his passion for the environment and sustainability. He’ll reveal top tips and techniques. And he’ll help you avoid common mistakes to ensure you create a board to be proud of.
So, as well as a beautiful wooden surfboard, you’ll come away with the knowledge – and hopefully the desire – to build a few more.
